Taking Care of Your Flowers

We always want your flowers to be delivered to your door as fresh as possible so they continue to look their best for as long as possible. Sometimes our flowers may arrive to your door not fully bloomed. Don't worry! This is good! Follow these care instructions and your flowers will be sure to have beautiful, long-last blooms.

  1. After receiving your flowers, put your flowers in a clean vase with fresh water. Sometimes our flowers just need a little care and love upon arriving to your door and fresh water will bring them to their full potential. The vase should be filled half way to two-thirds with lukewarm water. And, of course, don't forget to add your flower food.
  2. Trim your stems! Cut off about an inch off the bottom of your flowers at a 45 degree angle to help them last longer.
  3. If you notice any part of the flower other than the stems (leaves, foliage, etc.) are sitting in the water, make sure to trim those off. Also, if you notice any discolored outer petals on roses, feel free to trim those away to to reveal the brighter color inner petals. Continue to trim away any wilted leaves.
  4. The next day, make sure you top off your flowers with more water. After the second day, completely dump and change the water every few days to keep the flowers looking their best.
  5. Make sure your flowers aren't sitting in direct sunlight to prevent drying out and wilting.

We can be a little shy. Sometimes it takes a little while for us to "open up," so make sure you give us plenty of food and water.
